The criteria, the same for everyone
- Security: AES-256 encryption, kill switch, audited no-logs policy, provider's jurisdiction.
- Speed and protocols: advertised throughput, modern protocols (WireGuard, OpenVPN, IKEv2).
- Network: number of countries and servers.
- Use cases: streaming compatibility, P2P support, simultaneous devices.
- Pricing and guarantees: monthly rate on long-term plans, money-back guarantee.
Our sources
Specifications (security, protocols, network size, pricing, guarantee) are gathered from each provider's official documentation and re-checked regularly. We do not publish tests or measurements we haven't actually carried out.
